Gateau et Ganache: Fine Chocolates and Confections

An online boutique featuring the highest quality chocolates and marshmallows made in the French style, built on the Ubercart ecommerce system.

Engagement: Developer. Built site with Drupal, Ubercart, and custom modules for electronic gift certificates, delivery date, and gift card purchase. Implemented design by Nina Samarguliani.

A family intranet site that helps families stay in touch, even when members are located far apart. Features photo sharing, group calendar, group blog, gift lists, and more.

Engagement: Co-founder in charge of engineering. Designed and developed 90% of site. PHP, jQuery, and MySQL.

A social network for writers and those looking to discover new writers, with a unique focus on audio recordings of short stories, poetry, essays, and nonfiction.

Engagement: Lead engineer. Heavy Drupal customization and theming, including integrating a Web-based audio recorder and developing an audio player widget.

Featuring insightful guides, maps, and blogs, the Moon Web site advocates independent travel and extends the mission of the physical Moon guides.

UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute

The CTSI Virtual Home program aims to bring “better health to more people more quickly” by promoting research and education in clinical and translational science.

Engagement: Architecture / Engineering Consultant. Assessed technology needs for an upcoming site launch and provided a recommendation and integration plan for an appropriate content & community management system.

California Pan-Ethnic Health Network

CPEHN is an Oakland-based nonprofit that works to ensure that all Californians have access to quality health care and can live healthy lives.

Engagement: PHP Developer (via Leland Design). Implemented a total site redesign, added newsletter subscription functionality, and upgraded CPEHN’s custom CMS and CRM tools.

The official Web site of the California office of the American Lung Association, dedicated to preventing lung disease and promoting lung health for all the state’s citizens.

The oldest nonprofit news organization in the U.S, working to ensure that high-quality, credible, unique journalism does not die, but flourishes.

Engagement: Drupal developer (via af83). Overhauled blogging system, refined styles, developed templates, and fixed system bugs.

Post Carbon Cities

Preparing local governments for energy and climate uncertainty.

Engagement: Drupal developer. Created a database for tracking “climate actions” at the local government level, and implemented multiple ways to access that data, including: Google Map view, table view, and interactive timeline view.

International Rivers: People, Water, Life

The International Rivers Web site helps the nonprofit disseminate research and raise awareness of the issues threatening rivers around the world and the communities that depend on them for life.
