facebook redirect loop for users who tried new profile early?
I’m trying to log into Facebook and am getting the following error message. It seems Facebook is trying to redirect me to new.facebook.com, which is where they were automatically sending people who had opted in to get a preview of the new facebook profile. But they must have flipped the switch to have new.facebook.com redirect to facebook.com… and well, now you’ve got yourself an infinite loop. Oops.

Same thing happening to me. I tried clearing my cookies, but that didn’t work… I can still usually access the /login.php for either the original or new facebook, but can’t get past that. Anyone had any success?
iv got the same issue!!!! cant figure it out, ive emailed support so i hope they have some good news for me when they reply. Will let you know what i find out

Same issue here. I have another account with them that never viewed the New Facebook – that one still works, but had to clear cookies to view it. So I guess it is something along the lines of:
* if you tried new facebook, they perform a redirect to the new facebook
* new facebook is now down
* they are idiots for forcing the redirect instead of letting people opt-in via URL
I assume that they will figure it out when they wake up in the morning :)

The URL rewrite rules for profiles and other tabs weren’t working properly. As Mick pointed out, there is no way for us early adopters to get back into “Facebook Classic”. :)
I’m glad I’m not the only one. Incredibly frustrating. I sent email to them in response to an extremely old ticket I had opened, but I’m not really expecting it to go through; I assume their ticketing system has changed since then. Has anyone else tried to contact them about this? Hopefully they’ll catch on if it’s happening to enough people.
problem solved! no explanaition of what or why it happened. They just sent an email back saying the problem has been resolved and facebook seems to working fine now. Im going to try n find out some more info. cheers guys
Same problem for me, cleared cookies, still not working. It’s been a couple of days now at least.
I also have the same problem! I cleared cookies, history, temporary files and even restarted comp. I cant get facebook to work now for a few days. It just says redirecting for about 5-10 minutes then says. oops this link appears broken.
